Keep turning. Keeep turning. Okay, Stop! That’s Where You Need to Go.
The tortoise beat the hare in the end, but only because the race was so long. I have some advice for the hare: Only run short races, buddy! The same goes for me and blogging; I should only write short posts since I tend to fall asleep in the middle of the long ones.
Enough of my jabber! You want the latest scoop on Y-FAIR? Well forget about it, because we are not Y-FAIR anymore! We are now FAIR’s Rising Generation.
Fair’s Rising Generation, or F-RG–as I’ve taken to calling it, is the next generation of young people giving support to fellow LDS youth over the Net. F-RG is currently undergoing a number of changes such as improving the look and functionality of our website, unscrambling disorganized content, and re-focusing its mission to emphasize building and strengthening testimonies as opposed to mundane apologetics. In the foreseeable future, we will be linking all over the net to places like Facebook and Myspace, You Tube, and various LDS youth communities. In fact, if you’re looking to make a deal with us about advertising, please contact me at hauntfox@gmail.com .
Given this new vision, we want to reach out to youth communities and make ourselves known so that young people will come to us with questions. For example, are you a Latter-day Saint seeking for gospel insights and answers? Do you have a friend who is struggling with his or her testimony? Are you interested in Mormonism and want to know more? Then send us an e-mail by visiting http://youth.fairlds.org/contact.html . Better yet, join our mailing list and help answer questions! We’re always looking for new recruits! Even though we’re super-busy with changes to the site, we will still answer any email that comes our way.
We’re still working on coordinating our articles section, preparing a F-RG Newsletter, and introducing a weekly podcast that will draw heavily upon visitor-submitted questions. So I stress once again: Please send us your gospel questions!
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
