Nathaniel’s Conclusion
Sorry I took so long to finish up this story, Thanksgiving was a blast and I got really wrapped up in things at home.Â
So in case any of you are coming into this story late, take a moment to read the beginnings of the story which can be found at the links below. For all of you who like this story please consider using the “Share/Save” button to post a link on Facebook or Twitter. It’s such a small thing, but it would mean a great deal to me.

And in the blink of an eye the conversation had turned to the subject of my religion. Some poeple lock up when it comes to telling people what they believe in, but not me. I love telling people what I think.
Nathaniel was holding a Holy Bible given to him by Mormon Missionaries and telling me about his experience with them. He told me that he’d gone to church with them a couple of
times and really liked the people there, but he thought our religion was too strict.  Unfortunately, Nathaniel didn’t recognize God’s Church upon the Earth when he saw it; all he could see was that members had to follow a lot of rules. I wish he had taken more time, a little patience then could have brought Eternal blessing for him and his family.
By the end of our meeting we had spent at least an hour talking, but we both had responsibilities to get back to and we seperated, perhaps for good. I hope I see him again and can give him a new Bible. What I did give him though was a card that I had in my wallet. I told him that he should read this card and share it with his kids. Then I wrote my phone number on the card and told him to call it in case he ever wants to learn more about my religion.  So we parted.
I learned a lot of things from this chance conversation in a shopping mall with a stranger whom I’d probably never think to talk to. In fact, I can’t help but wonder if our meeting was divinely designed. He shared with me life experiences that I will never have, and I shared with him the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I can’t know that for certain though.  What I do know for certain is that this experience has helped prepare me for a mission and I am more excited than ever to put in my papers.
Thanks for reading! Sorry again for the delay. Please share this post on your Facebook account if you think it’s good enough.  Your comments on my post would also make me really happy!Â
A wonderful experience you had. You may never know the role you played in bringing he and his family closer to Christ, but you stepped up and were not afraid to speak out. You will do great on your mission!
Thank you Susan!
wow. It’s not every day you get that experience.
This is awesome! Way to be prepared Erik! Man I just get the chills reading stories like this because Im preparing for my mission and see that this is going to be me full time.
I know same here, Greg.
The Bishop has challenged me to do a lot of reading in preparation to going on a mission and I find even that is difficult sometimes. It’s definitely not going to be a stroll in the park, but I think you’re going to be an awesome missionary. You’re spiritual, good under pressure, and very easy to talk to. You are a Captain Moroni in the making
Is this really the end? Let’s hope not.
